Bob Powell

Mr. Powell serves as CFO for NRG Solar and is responsible for working closely with NRG’s Finance team in Princeton to develop strategies and relationships to finance our solar projects. He was previously President of Solar Power Partners, which NRG acquired in late 2011. Mr. Powell and his team will provide analytical support for solar projects and finance packages and work with NRG’s Financial Planning & Analysis group to provide reporting and analytics on NRG Solar’s activities. Mr. Powell was previously a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a utility that provides gas and electric services to over 5 million customers in California. Prior to PG&E, Mr. Powell was a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s national energy practice. Mr. Powell was also previously a Partner at Arthur Andersen LLP’s worldwide energy and communications practice where he managed numerous project financing transactions. He is a CPA and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Management, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
