Mit Buchanan Managing Director, Energy Investments JP Morgan

Mit Buchanan is one of 20 professionals who originate, structure and execute energy investments at JPMorgan Capital Corporation.  Since 2003 that team has been responsible for approximately $6.7 billion of tax equity for over 6,700 megawatts of wind power in 67 wind farms representing an approximate market share of 45%.  In addition, the team recently closed 53 MW of geothermal projects.  With respect to solar, Ms. Buchanan led the transaction team which was the lead investor for the largest solar transaction ($266MM) in the U.S. in 18 years and recently closed a distributed generation portfolio which results in a $60 MM investment.  The team is also actively pursuing similar investments in biomass projects.  She has been with JPMorgan and its predecessor companies since 1987.

Mit is a frequent panelist and speaker for a variety of organizations in the renewable energy industry. Ms. Buchanan completed her MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and has an AB in Economics from Duke University.
