Jeetu Balchandani Head, Structured Tax and Renewable Equity Investments MetLife Investments

Jeetu Balchandani is a Director in MetLife’s Private Securities and Strategic Investments group and head of the Global Structured Tax Products Group. He oversees the origination and management of lease/tax equity, Section 42 affordable housing and CRA investments comprising a $4 billion portfolio. Before joining MetLife, Mr. Balchandani worked in project finance and leasing at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and Singapore and at a private asset management firm in Asia. Mr. Balchandani graduated with majors in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University. MetLife’s Investments Department manages a general account of over $400 billion. Since 2005, MetLife has built its leasing, tax equity and tax credits portfolio from $1.2 billion to over $4 billion today. MetLife participates in various aspects of financing by providing construction debt, term debt, tax equity and leasing solutions to renewable energy, affordable housing and large ticket leasing clients.
