Yiaway Yeh serves as the Mayor of Palo Alto and for the last several years was the Assistant City Auditor for the City of Oakland. He was elected to the Palo Alto City Council in 2007 and currently serves as an Executive Board Member and Commissioner for the Northern California Power Agency. Previously, Yiaway was a banker with Morgan Stanley and focused on infrastructure finance, worked as a legislative aide to then-San Mateo County Supervisor Rich Gordon, and served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, West Africa. He is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Redwood City-San Mateo County. Yiaway holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he was a Rappaport Fellow, and a Bachelor of Arts from American University.
