Dr. Jim Walker is Vice Chairman of enXco, Inc., a leading developer, owner and operator of wind and solar projects and served as its CEO from 2002-2005.  He has worked in energy over 30 years, pioneering wind development in California, Greece, Turkey and Mexico.  He served in the Office of Management and Budget and as Executive Director and Commissioner at the California Energy Commission. He was President of the Board of the American Wind Energy Association from June 2008 to May 2009 and continues to serve on its Board and Executive Committee as Past President.  He was named the Association’s “Industry Person of the Year” in 2007 and also received awards in 2008 for his role in the US DOE study “20% Wind Energy by 2030” and in 2009 for his role in the creation of the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI).  He serves on the board of AWWI, a unique research organization with governance equally shared by environmental groups and wind industry representatives.   He is a Director and co-founder of Nordic Windpower, a manufacturer of wind turbines, and a principal of Asociados PanAmericanos, a developer of community wind projects in Mexico. He is co-founder and Chairman of AMRT Ltd., a minerals processing technology company active in Europe and Africa. He has a Physics degree from Princeton and a Doctorate from Harvard Business School.
